Opportunity Knocks

The Mayor recently signed Bill 7 into law.  This ordinance will now allow you additional density for properties currently zoned Apartment, BMX or AMX.  If you have or can acquire a vacant property or an existing building in disrepair you may have an opportunity to build much more density than previously allowed provided you rent the units as affordable rentals.  The intent of this change is to allow owners of dilapidated buildings the economic incentive to be rebuild, thus improving neighborhoods, while also allowing more affordable housing solutions.
